Recently bought an 18.5" maverick 88 security, it's been a few days and now ive noticed the front bead sight is slightly off center. I'd like to have it replaced, do I go through budsgunshop, or should I contact mossberg? what is the best method for resolving this?

I've seen a bunch of different responses with this inquiry; however, no one has specifically answered the question. Is the fee related to a percentage of the gun value? Is the fee fixed (it will always be $X no matter the firearm value)? I've tried the LiveChat, but that is a joke. You can't get past the menu selections, so I couldn't find out directly that way either. Any recent, specific help is greatly appreciated.

Can anybody suggest something that will protect and kind of seal a barrel that's had the bluing or color sanded off because I like the way the kind of looks like a dull stainless steel metal looks without the bluing?
