  • Hi Torrey, I don't think the reviewer ever posted the fix. I would not take a chance on potentially voiding your warranty by attempting to fix it your self. I would contact Buds or Kimber on getting this resolved since it is a new pistol. Buds Customer Service at (859) 368-0371 9am - 9pm M-F or use the "BlueChat Now" button at the bottom right. Kimber Customer Service is Toll-Free: (888) 243-4522 - Hours: M–F, 9:30 a.m.– 6 p.m. Eastern

  • Hi Torrey, I own 11 Kimbers. Most of them had failures to extract. Sometimes it was just trying different ammo but the Main reason was it just needed broken in. You'll stat to notice it gets better after 250-300 rounds through it. Hope this helps!

  • I compete with 1911's and most of us use an Aftec extractor for reliability. You can tune the solid original extractor but when switching brands of brass the rims can vary enough to cause problems. The Aftec solves that problem.

  • assuming you are using good commercial brass ammo It sounds like it needs the extractor tuned which is common on 1911 guns I would contact Kimber Toll-Free: (888) 243-4522 There are many videos on youtube of how to tune the extractor but I would speak with Kimber first
