nipple protection

Is there a product available that can be installed over the nipple on a percussion firearm to protect it from accidental damage by the hammer when a percussion cap is not in place?

I can't seem to find anything like this online Gary. Maybe you can measure the nipple width and fashion some out of plastic / rubber or silicone compound. Something similar to the old red snap cap pop pistols. Maybe search here as I don't know if they have nipple covers available for pistols : octobercountry.com/nipple-covers-replacement-nipples-o-rings/

Place zip tie around nipple and pull it tight
