It is smaller than a standard 1911I suggest that you contact local FFL holders and see if thy have any in stock that she can try also look at the Bersa Thunders

Teddy, I don't think this particular pistol would work for your wife. If she has very small hands then some better fit options are the S&W Bodyguard, the Ruger LCP II, the Walther Arms PK380 or the Sig 238 to name a few. I think it best to take her to a local shop and have her test fit some pistols first hand and if they can't get you close in price buy it from Buds.
