Can this use a regular mag
-
Does anyone know if this will accept a regular 7 or 8 round 1911 mag? Also what makes it CA compliant. It doesn't matter to me as I'm in PA but I want to know if it will take regular mags. Thanks

While the standard (government and commander) 1911 mags will fit and function they will extend below the bottom of the magazine well the CS uses officers size magazines these are the proper "Officers" size mags To make it ca compliant they pay CA a lot of money to certify it by the CA DOJ budsgunshop.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=1911+Officers+Magazine

CA requires the "Loaded Chamber Indicator" (LCI) to be compliant. This pistol does come with a 7rd magazine and not the 6rd listed by Buds. You can buy extra (1911 45ACP 7rd CS) magazines directly from Rock Island/Armscor here : http://armscor.com/parts-accessories/magazines/

No differences I own the Ca model except for the chamber indicator. It has everything that the other does. It's just California is gradually taking our rights to own firearms. We will never see any newer models either except in revolvers.

Hi brandon, The chamber indicator makes it CA compliant. Yes the standard 1911 magazines will work.

You can use any 1911 magazine with this pistol including the 10 round mags. The only problem with the longer mags is that you can "over-insert" them which will tie the gun up if you forcefully seat them during a quick reload. Gently seat them and you'll be okay.
