This will fit the 88 Bob. This is info from the manufacturer : Fits: - Mossberg 12 Gauge 500, 535, 590, 835 - Remington 12 Gauge 870 - Winchester 12 Gauge 1200/1300 - *****Mossberg Note*****: The forend included in this package is compatible with Mossberg shotguns with a removable forend, any Mossberg shotgun newer than 2006 should be checked to insure that it has a removable forend. - *****Winchester Note*****: Winchester forend tubes with a minimum length of 6.25" are required for use of this product.

I just called Yes it will fit the maverick 88 takes the Mossberg stocks . Fits most Mossberg 500/535/590/835, Remington 870, and Winchester 1200/1300 12 gauge models
