The Ruger LC9s is "Striker Fired" Harry. https://ruger.com/products/lc9s/models.html ----- Double-action strikers will typically have less energy than hammer fired guns. Most striker fired pistols, particularly Glocks, cannot be de-cocked. To release tension, you'll have to remove the magazine, check the chamber to ensure it is empty and pull the trigger full cycle to release the firing pin.
The Ruger LC9s is a striker-fired version of the popular Ruger LC9 semi auto handgun. The LC9s features a short, light trigger pull for faster, more accurate shooting and is well suited to the concealed carry role. The Ruger LC9s Pro is a polymer frame, striker fired semi auto pistol that has a short, light and crisp trigger pull for fast, accurate shooting. Slim and lightweight, it makes a great gun for concealed carry and personal protection.
