  • You can fire both in a NATO chamber weapon such as this. The reverse may NOT be true however. The reason for this is NATO chambers and ammo do not match SAMMI standards. Because of this, in simple terms, 7.62 NATO cartridges may produce an over pressure if fired in a 308 chambered weapon. So do NOT fire NATO ammo in a weapon marked 308 Only. (The same applies to 5.56 NATO and 223.)

  • You are fine to fire both but I would stick to just brass casing with boxer primers (for a couple reasons). It's easier to feed, extract without putting stress on the extractor and you can reload (also prevents you from possibly getting corrosive ammo with some berdan primed stuff that is reboxed.

  • 308 and any 7.62 that fits is fine. Stick with American made ammo and you should have no problems.
