Hey James, I hope you got it figured out but unfortunately no. This firearm is no longer on the CA DOJ handgun roster. Hope that helps!
This pistol is no longer on the CA DOJ Approved Roster as of 1/2018 James. S&W and other Manufacturers took a big hit. The current S&W pistols, mostly "Revolvers" that are approved are listed here by model # : oag.ca.gov/firearms/certguns?make=Smith+%26+Wesson
I’m in California and I can tell you that it isn’t NO LONGER CALIFORNIA COMOLIANT because of the ridiculous politicians and laws we have.

I believe that as long as the mag is 10 or less you should be fine. but I would check around for more expertise
