  • not a question but an update - i fitted a wilson combat HD extractor and firing pin stop and has been flawless for over 400 rounds since. i had previously paid a gunsmith to fix it, he tuned the extractor but still was not 100% perfect. a little (good amount) time with a file and test fitting/tuning and i couldnt be happier with the outcome. i went from hating this pistol to loving it and being proud that I fixed it and hand fit some parts. have since installed new MSH, Grip safety, & flat wire

  • Hi Torrey, I did the same with all of my Kimbers. I also use the Wilson combat Magazines as the ones that come with them are pretty useless. Glad you got it figured out!

  • I am glad you got it fixed I love my 1911s but extractor tuning is a common failure on 1911s and the Wilson extractor will normally fix the issue
