Is it legal to change the buttstock to a real ar10 one?
no it is classified as a pistol and would require a NFA tax stamp ($200.00) BEFORE you put the stock on and make it a Short barrel rifle

It is not Moe, unless you pay the $200 Tax Stamp and register the firearm as an SBR "Short Barreled Rifle". Any Shoulder Stock changes the classification from pistol to SBR.
