It comes with 2 ambidextrous safeties. One is the standard safety which works best when you wish to carry locked and cocked. The other, which is installed at the factory, is a special low profile safety most of us competitive shooters prefer because we start in double action and the low profile doesn't get in our way during magazine changes.

It has an ambi safety, and also comes with an additional extended safety in the box you can swap out if desired. (I did this myself, the extended safety is just easier to use).
