  • Try with the gun empty and chamber closed/locked (pointed I a safe direction) by pulling the trigger and seeing if the action unlocks to allow you to pump it. If it does be sure that recoil is not causing the pump hand to start the cycle (pump) slightly but then pushing the forearm back forward causing it to lock again if that is not the issue contact Mossberg at (800) 363-3555 ---- mossberg.com/service/
