According to the legal opinion I read, possession of his firearm in Ohio would be considered illegal .. even though federal law says it is legal to manufacture and purchase and possess. That being the case, if you could buy it in an adjacent state .. it could subject you to legal problems once you take it back into Ohio. The burden is placed on the owner to maintain compliance with firearm laws. If you can;t buy it in Ohio, then that;s a very good indication it is illegal in Ohio - regardless of federal law. This was copied from the Buckeye firearms.org web site: "According to our legal analysis, the Shockwave 590 is banned in Ohio. It is NOT legal. We don't like it any more than you do. And of course, this ban won't stop any crimes or make anyone safer. But for the moment, that's the way it is."
Joseph, no. The shockwave is not classified as a "Shotgun" but a firearm and carries virtually the same rules as a handgun, which you cannot purchase across State lines. Only Long guns can legally be purchased across state lines.
