Any feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand
A folding, telescoping or thumbhole stock
Barrel shroud
Muzzle brake / muzzle compensator
Capacity to accept a detachable magazine outside the pistol grip

It's legal In IL, not legal in Chicago. Cook county has maximum magazine rate of 10rnds, however, Chicago has a max of 15 round magazine. But if you have a CCW you have no magazine limit. Verified this with my FFL dealer.
