  • You can use the ruger 10/22 mags but you will loose the last shot bolt hold open feature "As an added plus, the T/C rifle will also happily accept and work flawlessly with any Ruger 10- or 25-round mags you may own (I fed the rifle about a dozen of them). The only hiccup is that the action won’t lock back when the mag is empty while using Ruger mags, just like it won’t on a 10/22." thetruthaboutguns.com/2018/12/daniel-zimmerman/gun-review-thompson-center-t-cr22-rifle/

  • Douglas - This rifle takes both the 10/22 mags, and the TC mags, making it convenient for the owner. With the Ruger mags, the rifle's bolt will not stay open after the last round is fired. With the TC mage, it will remain open after firing the least round. Stocks and barrels are also interchangeable between the two rifles ... and some 10/22 triggers "might" exchange, according to TC.

  • Douglas, The T/CR22 is a 10/22 Clone and is compatible with 10/22 stocks and Magazines. The T/CR22 uses Ruger 10/22 style magazines or even Ruger factory magazines. But Thompson Center made their own magazine and it has a last round bolt hold open. They also made the rear of the magazine transparent so you can see how many rounds you have.
