BudsGunShop.com - Sling and Optics

What's up guys? I finally got my hands on one. Pretty sweet! So anyway, I'm looking for a good 2pt tactical sling and some optics. I see alot of forums about the Red Dot and Green Dot sights but I'm not exactly sure what they are. All I've ever used were open sights. All through my childhood and even in the Marine Corps. I don't need a scope....after all, it's a shotgun. Pretty much just point and shoot. I'm thinking some sort of optics might get me on target faster though. Thank you.

Mike - As far as the optic ... I am similar to you in that I've always used shotguns with open sights, and have always had no problem with the open sight. After trying a red dot on a shotgun, I soon went back to the open sights with a fiber optic front sight. I found it to be a faster combination to get on target, and produced results as good - or better - that a red dot. I truly enjoy my red dot sights on pistols and rifles, but for a shotgun, I'll take the open sights every time. As for a sling, one just has to decide how much they want to spend - and get whatever appeals to them in that price range. The prices of slings can be utterly ridiculous, or one can get a perfectly serviceable two point sling - usually down at the local Wally World - for a few bucks.
