Is anyone aware of load/pressure restrictions for this/ these firearms? I get the impression they discontinued the .44 magnum for strength reasons. Please, knowledgeable reply's only!

Hi John, you and I agree in this regard on the discontinuance of the .44 Magnum. Standard 45LC operates at a much lower pressure curve than .44 Magnum. The Cimarron pistols in my opinion can "Live" in the 45LC realm just fine. I have even ran some "Near Max" loads ( eight grains of Universal pushing a 230gr LRNFP bullet) with no issues. However, I would not run a regular diet of this due to my concerns of battering my pistol. I would not worry about the 45 long Colt in the Cimarron, but always keep in mind, this is no Ruger Super Red or BlackHawk.
