Justin, this shotgun ejects shells slightly forward and to the right and as long as yu are using a proper stock to cheek weld, yo will have no issues Sir.

Justin,It is safe. If you have your face/cheek pressed/welded to the stock shooting left handed you will not get hit in the face by ejected shells. The ejected shells will not even hit your right shoulder. My son is a left handed shooter and has never been hit by a spent shell case on any semi-auto shotgun.
