I'm going to buy the 34 or 35. I'm a beginner and compete in steel challenge and USPSA. I was in the air about buying the 35 and switching to 9mm when doing steel challenge but then back to .40 when doing USPSA (for more points) that way I would get "2 pistols" for price of one (and a 9mm barrel)... I'm wondering if this is a sound idea, or I'd just be sacrificing accuracy or something and should just get the g34 by itself.

Rob, I have done the exact same thing. The quality and accuracy of the 9 mm conversion barrel (several out there) makes your G34/35 a tack driver.If you do a trigger job you have it in for both calibers. Super idea and is more common then you would think. G35 with 9 mm conversion barrel is the way to go.
