  • I know it’s a Weaver scope but what kind of reticle is the dual x? Is it for ranging? If so, how much range for a 22lr? Does dual x mean it has an option of using 1 of the 2 scopes it has?

  • Phillip, This scope is discontinued by Weaver. Dual-X refers to an extra thick (dual) reticle on the outside of reticle and goes to one thin line reticle at bullseye area. Pretty good range of scope up to 100 yards on this rifle.

  • Phillip, Dual -X Reticle is simply an outer thicker and inner thinner reticle as pictured here : google.com/search?q=weaver+dual+x+reticle&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjfm_Hm8YfmAhXJpFkKHa4QCs4Q_AUoAnoECAoQBA&biw=1920&bih=938#imgrc=YGDyWj2bb4_BLM:

  • The name of the reticle is misleading. It is just a simple duplex style reticle.
