  • Millard, a magazine disconnect is activated when the magazine is removed from the firearm which disengages the trigger from being able to be fired. It is a mechanical lever. Once the magazine is re-inserted, this lever is reactivated and the trigger can be fired.

  • No, it is not in a way a decocker. The magazine disconnect safety is when the trigger cannot be pulled while the magazine is not inserted. Once the magazine is inserted then the trigger engages back to functioning as normal. Personally, I don’t like that feature in terms of carrying this for protection. Unfortunately, some have to be made that way. Fortunately, being made with the magazine disconnect feature make it legal to own in some states. It was my pleasure to assist you. RIP Kobe Bryant.
