I have owned and carry an LCP. Is there really much of an advantage to upgrading to the LCP II. The guns looks nice but does it actually function any better.

The LCP II has an improved trigger that is much smoother than the first generation LCP and soime say a bit better than the LCP Pro, which isn't being made any loner. Also, the LCP II slide locks back after the last shot which is a feature many shooters requested from Ruger. The grips of the LCP II have been improved as well.
