Since the actual transfer from Buds will be to your FFL,and conducted out of state, I'm guessing it will come with a 30rd magazine that will be removed from the gun before he signs it over to you. He may trade you a 10rd magazine for your 30rd mag, or refuse you any magazine with it at all. At that point you can choose to keep or refuse the weapon and it will be sent back to Buds for a refund for you (less 10% restocking fee). If you want the gun, buy it! They will take care of you and bend over backwards to see to it you're happy with the purchase, (the FFL & Buds)!

The AR would need to be compliant as-is from the manufacturer. Buds does not modify packaging contents prior to shipment, so they wouldn't remove the mag.
