I saw on the Charles Daly site the receiver is described as a "white receiver." Does this mean the receiver is just some kind of alloy?

Jonathan, the White Receiver is a bare metal alloy that does have a clear protective coating for durability and a Blued barrel. Cheers and stay safe!
Hi,
I believe that "white receiver" refers to the silvery-white finish of the shotgun receiver and not alloy type of the receiver. On other websites, this shotgun finish is listed as "white receiver and blued barrel". Cheers.

normally with firearms white means NO Finish IE bare metal I suggest that you ask Charles Daly to get a 100% accurate answer. I suspect you are correct in that it will be a alloy steel with no finish added Tel: +1.937.835.5000
