William, the majority of these surplus rifles come with Fixed Twist Rate Barrels Sir. Cheers and stay safe!

Hi,
It really depends on whether you have the original barrel or your barrel was replaced sometime during its use (likely). Original M91-type rifles and carbines had gain twist barrels, however, this feature has been dropped since 1938 as a money-saving measure. So this rifle likely has gain twist barrel originally but if the barrel was replaced after 1938, it is replaced with a fixed twist rate. Your best bet to find some gunsmith to check it for you. I hope this helps.
