Base plate removal

Do these mags come as pictured with the flat metal base plate? And can you remove the plastic base plate from ALL 1911 mags? Rock Island sent me a Mec-Gar with a plastic plate and I don't want to force it off before I know if its connected to anything.

The base plates on these mec-gar mags ARE NOT REMOVABLE they are a welded baseplate see *** in specs. This is normal in standard government 1911 mags you can add screw on plastic bumpers (I do) they are very good mags Features and Specifications:

Yes, these come as pictured with the flat base plate. The base plate of bot the flat and plastic bumper plate remove in the same manner and can be interchanged.
