  • as long as you keep the gun clean it will work fine. another (imo better) option is to shoot Brass and sell the empty brass on craigslist/ facebook or other local site

  • I work at a public range and spend lots of time helping get stuck steel cases out of lots of guns this includes .308. The steel expands just like the brass does except that it does not spring back like brass and is more likely to stick in the chamber. Some people lightly lube steel cases and it seems to help.

  • Steel cased ammunition will be fine Manny. Due to slightly less case expansion on the steel cased ammo, you will just need to clean the rifle 2/3rds sooner than brass cased ammunition due to slightly more blow by. I don't mix steel and brass at the range but, I have no issues with either.
