This is an awesome race gun styled m&p. With the tall sights, there's no need to swap out the sights if you add a red dot. After adding a red dot to mine, it has been a fun, accurate and reliable range gun.

I purchased the S&W M&P 40 PRO CORE and love it. It was easy to customize with the included parts enabling a profoundly comfortable and resilient grip. Additionally, the array of optic attachment plates made intalling my Trijicon RMR exceptionally simple. This firearm preforms superbly everytime I take it out and integrated well into my chest holster on my body armor.

Very pleased with my M&P. I am a return customer and each transaction has been as described and firearms were in clean functional order. Pleasure doing business with you guys.

Bought this gun after watching Old Jerry Miculek's review. Boy what a feast. I fitted with a Storm-lake barrel 40S&W, Lone Wolf compensator, ESP Magwell from speedshooters and Trijicon RMR. I shot this setup in USPSA open class. If you are not up to the level of Miculek, DONT: You would be dressing a production gun for Open Class. I did buy an extra 9mm conversion barrel to shoot it in USPSA production (which is OK in level I matches) and IDPA ESP division. I added another 9 mm Stormlake (5.75) with lone wolf comp and reduced spring for Steel Challenge. After one year, gun ran flawlessly (except for the lower recoil spring which does not the slide tight enough- rattles). Shot cheap ammo that I can get a hold of remanufactured Freedom and High Country, factory Blazer, steel Tula-ammo, Winchester white box, federal and lord behold the Bosnian brass Max. No issues whatsoever. With all the money spent: I could've just bought a true open race gun and stick to it. However, I can say it is the most versatile gun on the market. I can shoot it Production, Limited (major, minor) and Open (major, minor) but I guess my poor performance is just on ME.

Well, I won't let my disappointment in the packaging taint my love for the pistol but it was very odd my most expensive M&P did not arrive in an M&P box. I'm still awaiting a response from Smith & Wesson. Gun is Super accurate, trigger needs some break in or that might need to get upgraded. Overall very happy with the gun, just not the box in came in.

I was very surprised at how far I had to drift the rear sight to adjust for windage. With the front sight coaxial I had to push the rear sight left almost flush in the dovetail. I also tested with a bore laser so you can say what you want about my technique. I've never had a new pistol of this level that needed that much windage adjustment. But who knows maybe my slide is a little off. Now that its sighted in it shoots like a dream. Fits perfect in my hand. Nice balance. I've put about 1600 rounds thru it so far and not a hiccup.I was also surprised to find that the sight picture is setup for a cover and not a 6oclock hold. You would think a pistol targeted for competition shooting would be set up this way. I have shorter front sights on order and to be honest I'd rather have a fiber optic front anyway. I'm just hoping that with a shorter front sight it will still co witness with my Leopold. The first 200 rounds the trigger was a little gritty and the break wasn't as predictable as I would like. Once it was broken in its light and easy and very predictable, reset is short but not as nice as a glock. I had planned for an apex but I think I like it the way it is. So I get to use the apex money for the front sight. I have no regrets about this purchase but I wish their manufacturing tolerances where a little tighter. This was my first purchase thru buds and I highly recommend them. Everything was spelled out and straight forward.
