This light will work on any gun with a front mounting rail. Without a rail there is nothing to mount it to.

I am considering making this StreamLight TLR-7 purchase. Does this model fit the SR9c (using a supplied key, or without one installed)? If so, upon final fitting with the body of the light as snug to the trigger guard as is feasible, will this model extend beyond the muzzle end of my gun? If there IS some protrusion of the bezel beyond that final point, what is the approximate length of that distance? Thank you for all replies!

using the dimensions of the light and measuring my SR9c it will extend about 3/16 of a inch

I took a gamble that since Streamlight stated this light would fit similar models to my HK 45 Compact, it might be able to be adapted to mine. It will not bolt on perfectly to an HK 45 Compact but if you know how to use a dremel tool you can slightly modify one of the factory supplied plastic (vinyl?) adapter "keys" and make it fit. The seven adapter "keys" apparently allow this light to bolt on to quite a few makes and models. I really like the TLR-7 for what it is; a compact, nicely engineered under-mount light for a tactical weapon application. Battery replacement is simple and does not require the TLR to be dismounted to accomplish. Switch location is ambidextrous and the function is excellent. Just press and release to switch on and again to switch off or press and hold for momentary on, then it goes back off when released. The switch operation is silent. The lens cap can be turned just a few degrees (with a felt detent) to place the TLR in a safe condition by disconnecting the battery, so neither switch will operate the light. I highly recommend this product.

I already owned the TLR-1 and it is works great. Not surprising as Streamlight has a great reputation. However, it's a bit large on my FN FNS-9. The TLR-7 also works great but fits better, ie, does not extend beyond the barrel. The TLR-7 also functions great but it only has 1 battery whereas the TLR-1 has 2, and is not as bright. This was my first purchase from Bud's, they had the best price and shipped fast. Highly satisfied!
