Let me start by saying I am a dedicated Bud Club Member and I have bought xxx amount of guns from Buds, to say that I am a happy customer of Buds is accurate.
Now lets talk about the Adler lever action .410
This is a gun I wanted and certainly didn't need. I have xxx amount of 410's but alas not a lever action, so I decided to purge my accumulated lunch money and acquire this good looking gun to add to my xxx something collection of .410's.
Buds delivered flawlessly as usual and when I opened the box, SURPRISE. I asked my dealer what kind of wood he thought the stock was made of and I believe he accurately described it as "Pallet Wood." I also noticed the finish was average and as I attempted to assemble the barrel to the stock the bluing seemed to scrape off when the metal made contact with each other. The last of the impressionable items appears to be the "unusual" tang attached to the lever, when you open the lever you find this stainless tang attached to it that travels with the lever. My 1st thought, well that tang better not get bent because this weapon will be scrap!
So do I recommend this Century Arms Adler .410, probably not just based upon esthetics!
Have not fired the weapon and to be truthful probably wont. So now I have a .410 lever action and wished I would have just continued to save my lunch money for a different .410 lever action.
Signed: A satisfied Bud's customer & disappointed Adler owner,
Mike M.

It is a very nice lever action, for the price. It is half the price of the Henry. It is a great shotgun for beginners to learn with It is fairly short and light. It does have an adult size stock, a little tricky for the much younger kids to operate. Manual has instructions for changing chokes, it does not have interchangeable chokes. I believe the barrel has an improved cylinder choke. The lever action feels smooth and is reliable. It cannot have the safety on when operating the lever action. It comes apart quite easily for cleaning. You are able to put a sling on it. Does a nice job hitting clays. It says three inch in description by the manufacturer, but the barrel has 2 3/4 on it. After having it out on the range, there were several other dads thinking of getting one for their kids to learn with.
