I honestly don't think I could find a better price on a new Python like I did at Buds. Not only that, she shipped fast and made it to my FFL Dealer exactly as they said it would and she is a beauty!! Purrs like a kitten and shoots like a dream. If I can, I will always buy my stuff from Buds.

Colt...wow. beautiful weapon. The finish on this revolver is beautiful. The QC at colt is amazing. Not only does this gun look good, but shoots very well. If you're thinking about buying this....don't wait like I did. Just buy it , you won't be disappointed at all. From finish, to functionality, it's a no brainer , and a 10 out of 10.

Received the Python with no issues, and quick service from Bud's. The fit and finish on the 2023 Python was very good, but I would rate it slightly less well done than an original earlier version. Mostly, due to the edges being slightly more polished, rounded and smoothed on the originals. I compared it to two original 6" barreled Pythons I have, one from 1962 and one from 1973. The 2023 double action trigger pull was very similar to the two early models, however the single actions on the 2023 was stiffer and required more pressure. Also noted the hammer on the 2023 version is a little shorter than the 1962/1973 models, so cocking back the hammer with the thumb of the trigger hand requires more effort. As noted by Colt, the backstrap of the 2023 has more steel than the earlier models, and this is noticeable when comparing the guns side by side. The weight of the 2023 empty on my scale was 46.1 Oz. The weight of the 1973 was 44.1 Oz, and the weight of the 1962 was 42.8 Oz. I think the 1962 is lighter than the 1973 due to the barrel underlug being hollow on the 1962. For comparison a 6" S&W 586 weighed 46.5 oz, so the 2023 has been beefed up a little. The grips are slightly slimmer, and the back strap of the grip is smooth rather than grooved. The 2023 appears sturdy and the grips are comfortable. The red ramp and white outline rear sight is a real improvement in the sight picture over the old versions. Overall, the gun appears well built and finished, and likely more capable of handling full magnum loads compared to the older versions.

It is a Colt. The gun is a fine piece to have in any collection. However I'm not sure that the product is worth the steep price. Double action is smooth, the trigger in single action is noticeably heavier than any of my Smiths. When put side by side with my S&W 686 the cylinder on the 686 is noticeably beefier than the Colt. If you have the money to spend,, then get it, if your limited on funds get a S&W, Kimber or a Ruger.

This new Python is beautifully made. I found some people complaining online, but I don't see what they're complaining about. The gun is a masterpiece. Also, the cylinder has been given slight channels to prevent drag markings from being scratched into it when the action cycles. And of course, the trigger pull really is as clean and smooth as it's supposed to be.

This will be shot, cleaned and put back in the box with instructions TO BE GIVEN TO one of my TWIN GREAT GRANDSONS on his 21st Birthday. Giving an Anaconda to the other twin after I receive it. (Just Ordered)

Wanted a Python since I was 15 & saw Hutch (Starsky & Hutch) carrying one. Couldn't be happier with the service from Bud's. The Python digested all ammo it was fed, from plinking .38Spl to full house .357Mag. Trigger is the best I've ever encountered on a handgun, & double action pull has to be experienced to be believed. E.S.

Quality is outstanding. None of the problems like the early production 2020 Pythons. Double action trigger pull is heavy, single action is very light. Trigger itself is buttery smooth. Very happy with this purchase.

Gun shoots great out of box made 1 windage adjustment 50yds 6 of 6 vital shots. Trigger is so smooth it makes double action shooting possible.
