Some shotguns require you to hold the bolt release button to allow you to load shells into the tube. Do you have to hold the button on this gun?

Anthony, You can lock open bolt and load shells, put one in chamber and release the bolt. Bolt lock open button next to trigger like Rem 870 pump release, bolt release button on side of receiver. Easy, you'll love it.

if I remember correctly then yes you just like on my Winchester super x 1 it will become second nature and you will do it automatically If its a deal breaker for you then call and ask Phone (301) 283-6981 (option 2) or (800) 264-4962 (option 2)

Anthony, I've watched this gentleman load this several times and it seems to have a Bolt Release Hold Button that releases the bolt after he loads the shotgun. Looks like the bolt handled is cycled, shells are loaded, then he pushes a bolt release button : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0TQhB_4IUk

Good size, good feel on the cycling - reduces kick and recoil, only trouble so far is that it struggles to cycle lighter shells

Took a chance on a brand that I never owned before and it really paid off (In Spades) It has a very matte surface and is built like a tank. Fire control group is Benelli, Fore-end return spring is Franchi but all inertia bolts are unique to the respective brands that use this system. (btw Stoeger makes barrels for some Beretta models, It's one big happy family) Installed a Carlson extended SKT choke and went to the trap range. (Uses Benelli, Beretta Mobilchoke tubes) This inertia drive needs 1&1/8 @1300fps shells for 100%reliability, If you use the 1200FPS shells then it may not have the oomph to fly forward fast enough to go into full battery (no I didn't bother to do the recommended breaking-in) Any problems that the previous model (M2000) may have had have all been addressed by Stoeger and fixed. If you're skeptical than Buy the Buds lifetime warranty during checkout (Buds covers shipping, Stoeger won't)
