I bought this 38 special ammo for use in my Ruger GP100 revolver. Bud's website descriptions states "brass casings". The ammo that I received was nickel-plated casings. At the range today, I shot 40 rounds of this ammo. I also shot several rounds of other ammo brands. In comparison this wheel gun ammo performed as well as the other brands although it was a bit "smokey". Overall, I am pleased with this ammo.
