The Achilles heel for this rifle is the magazines. There's a lot of misinformation out there about which magazines are compatible with this rifle and there are even more negative reviews about the reliability and available options of compatible magazines. Ruger is the only source for magazines; the shorter magazines are reportedly terrible and the 10 round magazines are EXPENSIVE. Ruger should have worked out something with Accuracy International, to produce quality magazines for this rifle. I haven't shot this rifle or bought anything for it, because I'm waiting for the perfect opportunity to get rid of it. It's a shame, because it's an otherwise nice firearm.
