Okay, this is a really fun pistol. I bought it along with an 1892 .45 LC lever action from Cimarron so that I'd have a long gun and a pistol that uses the same round.
This piece just works. Very easy shooter. Very little recoil, perhaps due to the weight, but doesn't feel overly heavy for sure. Very accurate. Hint: do not go to the range with a new Glock and this at the same time because you'll try to fire it like a Glock and it doesn't work that way :) (aka too stupid for words, but still having fun)
It is amazingly fun to shoot. It hits what you aim at. For a 'large' caliber piece with a lot of powder, this shoots very easily and does NOT jar your bones. It is so fun that you kind of forget the ammo prices for .45 Colt. The RSOs were happy to give it a go when I offered them a few pieces of free lead and the young guy had an absolutely awesome grouping seconds after picking it up at 30 feet, which is, IMO, perfect old west days range.
I highly recommend this piece for the fun of it. Take down is a bit more involved, but definitely not difficult. Overall, the piece is very well made and it is surprisingly good in the hand. I would happily buy it again if I ever decide to buy the double hostler set-up that you see in old west movies. I want to practice quick draw and shooting at old style beer bottles and tin cans now...

As for the price and service from Bud's it was excellent as always. As for these new Cattleman II Uberti 1873 SAA the fit and finish are very nice but that new hammer safety that disconnects the firing pin I an not a fan of. The hammer is heavy and i can feel that plunger and spring on the trigger that holds the firing pin in place at the time the hammer falls on the primer. I can put up with the two stage cylinder pin safety like on my set of Uberti,s I use for CAS but I think this new firing pin disconnect I can live without. Uberti is still a great product that makes owning a SAA Colt clone affordable for working guys like me.

Very nice pistol. Very well built and nice bluing and the color case hardening is very colorful. It's not a colt, but it is very nice. The reason I am only giving it 4 stars is because it is not an exact copy of the colt saa. The colt has 4 clicks when cocking the hammer. This gun only has three clicks. It is missing the first safety click or notch. It also has a floating firing pin in the hammer. I don't mind the differences but the add said it was an exact copy. I have not shot it yet but am looking forward to shooting it soon.

Great revolver! Bought this as a more traditional way of launching .45 Colt hand loads, versus a Ruger Blackhawk. Fit and finish is outstanding and lives up to the rumor that Cimarrons are a better finished Uberti. The annoying two-position base pin is easily remedied with one from Peacemaker Specialists. Revolver has so far been accurate and 100% in functioning. The only negative I can come up with is they are literally SOAKING in oil from storage/transport. A 100% tear-down is necessary.

Nice revolver for the price - but the quality of Cimarron Arms seems to have gone done a lot in the last two years. I had no complaints about my first Cimarron. But this one - The metal to metal fit is poor. The wood to metal fit is poor. A very "creepy" trigger ... lots of take-up before release. My first Cimarron was like glass breaking. This trigger almost feels like a set trigger. And the overall metal has tooling marks. I would rate it lower - but in this case I got what I paid for. Still a nice reproduction.
