Wondering what bullet type/weight is best for this rifle for deer and elk. Would Norma Softpoint 308 Win 150-Grain be a good round?

I prefer factory mags where available. Does Savage make a 10 rd magazine that fits this rifle? My gun has the push button release on the bottom of the 4 rd box magazine, not on the frame of the action. I'd post a picture here if I could. The larger mag people have linked to does not show this configuration. Any other options available?
