Developed by Italian gun maker Pedersoli to commemorate Lyman's 140th Anniversary, this 1878 Sharps carbine is an elegant streamlined version of the Sharps rifle that made Lyman famous. The gorgeous walnut stock and engraved receiver with silver finish, make this a superbly functional work of art. It features the side hammer falling block design that the Sharps is known for with the traditional #2 Tang sight that got Lyman their start 140 year ago. The unique front sight pivots between a blade style and globe style bead to suit your preferences. Only 140 of these rifles are made and it's sure to become a collector's item. Just received mine about two weeks ago, the craftsmanship is amazing, the accuracy is phenomenal, this is a heirloom quality rifle that sure turns some heads in the gun shop and the range. I’ve put just under 100 rounds of Winchester150 grain hollow points through it and I have rounds touching at 50 yards, my big target is the size of a five gallon bucket, I am able to hit it at 200 yards without difficulty. Awesome little rifle, it’s nearly the same at the Pedersoli little Betsy, buy one while you can. I’m Ordering another for the collection but this one I’m shooting.
