Buds was great. No one else even had this gun, no one has Colts! Buds had it and at a fair price. Shipped out and as at my ffl in 3 days.
The gun, well it’s a Colt. And Colt does it right. The photo’s do not do this gun justice, it is gorgeous. Not as shiny as you would think. I put one hundred rounds through. First box was flat nose and the very fist round had failure to feed. So I ran 16 rounds of ball ammo and had no more problems after that. Was shooting 10 yards and connecting all the holes into two inch groups. Very, very accurate.

I own all three models in the new Combat Elite lineup. They are all well constructed, nice fit and finish and function well out of the box. Once you run a few rounds through them they get even better. It appears that the black ion bond coating on the feed ramp can cause some early issues with some hollowpoints but as it wears off from use you will find that they will feed just about everything. Overall, I am completely happy with each and every model.

Great gun but rattles like a paint can. Grip safety and the actual trigger have side to side play. For the price I expected a fighter fit. This is a series 80.

Bought this for my dad for his 50th birthday/retirement gift, and he loved it. I prefer my Les Baer TRS, but my dad loved this pistol from the moment he unboxed it. It shot flawlessly at the range averaging 2.5 inch groups at 15 yards and 3.5 to 4 inch groups at 25 yards. Functioned well with the included factory mags as well as Les Baer mags, Wilson ETMs, CMC Power Mags, and CMC Shooting Star Classics. My only complaint is that the safety is quite stiff when placing the weapon on safe, and there is not much of a click or audible signal that the safety is engaged. Overall very happy with the purchase my dad would rate it a 5 out of 5 for sure.

The Colt Combat, Goverment, Elite is a beautiful pistol, but that is just the beginning! It feels great in the hand and It shoots great. I went through a 100 rounds on my first range trip with it and it did not miss a beat. No problems at all. Was accurate and great fun to shoot. I have five other pistols and all shoot great, but this 1911 is my favorite. I do not see how anyone could not like this pistol.
