Ken, only the 4.5" barrel comes in FDE, the 5.25" barrel is only available in black.

sorry its not available in Blued or dark earth your best bet is to get it and have it cerakoted to what ever color you want

Is there any kind of ammo that absolutely should not be used in this gun? I have some Core Bon copper coated ammo, but do not want to ruin my gun

Matthew, Corbon Copper Coated will be fine. I shoot that and Underwood and Doubletap no issues. I am a 10mm guy and have tested the vast majority of factory loads and my own handloads which include some hot, hot stuff.

How many 15 round mag come new from Springfield Armory?

I see on other sites, this pistol usually comes with three 15 round magazines. Log on to Buds site and use the 'chat' feature and ask them to verify that ... just to be sure. Springfield often has a 'rebate' deal on may of their models where a buyer can get 2 additional mags and a holster for free after buying one of their pistols, but you would need to check that on Springfield's website to be sure.

Damascus, the 5.25" model comes with (3) 15rd Magazines and the 4.5" Model comes with (2) 15rd Magazines.

Firstly, I am not a firearm fanatic - just an average joe. I purchased this pistol mainly as a bear defense gun. I've put about a hundred rounds through it without any issue. I don't have overly large hands (large gloves usually) and prefer this over the 10mm glock my brother has when it comes to being able to grip it properly. My transaction with Buds was as expected and I would buy from them again.

Firearm has handles very well, and the grip is comfortable to hold in your hand. Many people
that I have talked to, do not consider one of the most important parts of a firearm. If that pistol
does not fit your hand and it is not safe, you will not use or practice with it.
The 10mm is equivalate to the .40 S.W. in caliber, but it is a more powerful cartridge. It's recoil
can be heavier depending on the rating of your ammunition.
This is a computation model, it is the longest barrel Springfield has in the firearm, and the quality
is excellent as well.

I liked the balance of this handgun and the sites were great, overall a very good firearm. This is the first firearm I've had with a grip safety and I didn't like it at all.

Initially I was looking to buy a Glock 20 but as another reviewer has mentioned that they were tough to find during this pandemic. I wanted a 10mm so I gave the XDM 5.25 a try and it's a very well made firearm. The only thing didn't really care for was the texturing on the grip. I solved that with a Talon rubberized grip. Other than that it's an outstanding firearm. Good trigger, ergonomics and easy take down for cleaning. The recoil is not that bad at all, especially with a 5.25 barrel. Keep in mind one youtube channel did a 10,000 round 2 day pounding on this firearm with NO issues. That is more rounds than most people shoot their firearms in a lifetime. Don't hesitate to buy this firearm. Buds was great as usual! The best website on the Internet for purchasing a firearm.

I ordered a Springfield XDM 10mm 5.25 from buds gun shop. The gun was sent to my local gun shop for me to pick up. The gun was exactly as ordered, Bud's was the only place I could find it and they had the best price too. I have never bought a gun on line before. It was very easy to do. I plan on buying more this way from Bud's.

The XDM 5.25 10mm is Awesome got over 300 rounds through mine not one single malfunction of any kind.I had a Glock 20 it made my trigger finger hurt every time i shot it very much so i sold it and got the XDM .LOVE this pistol it is a dream to shoot .

I was very impressed with this gun it is very accurate and the recoil is not what I’d expect from a 10mm it was actually much less. This is a very high quality gun with plenty of features at a very good price compared to others with less features. Buds had amazing deals and customer service and I would recommend this gun and Buds Gun Shop to anyone.

had a glock 10mm until grandson talked me out of it. it is such a great caliber i had to replace it.well you always want to make a move up if you can so i read reviews on 10mm's for a week and decided on the xdm 10mm. one of the best decisions i ever made. wonderful 10mm, i own many guns this is now my favorite. great gun, great price,great service what more could you want.

Great gun, recoil is not bad at all for a polymer framed gun, I am pretty accurate with it and enjoy shooting it alot. Installed a PRP trigger kit in it and made a great improvement. The gun functions flawlessly, not one jam, ftf or fte, will be buying more from Bud's.
