About Springfield Armory

In 1777 just after the start of the American Revolution George Washington established the United State's first armory in Springfield Massachusets. The Springfield Armory during the Revolutionary War was used as a site to secure ammunition and gun carriages vital to the struggle for independence. After the Revolutinary War the Springfield Armory began manufacturing muskets for the new nation and quickly became a center for weapons development in the United States for nearly two centuries, producing some of the nation's most prolific firearms including the M1911 pistol, M1 Garand rifle, and the M14 rifle.

After the Springfield Armory was closed in 1968 by the federal government, the Reese family of Geneseo, Illinois licensed the name and insignia of Sprigfield Armory. Since then the company has dedicated itself to protecting the legacy of the Springfield Armory by continuing to develop high quality firearms and reproducing some of the Armory's most famous firearms like the 1911 pistol and their semi-automatic version of the M14, the M14 rifle. Springfield Armory has won multiple American Rifleman's Golden Bullseye Awards and has become one of the largest firearm manufactures in the world.

The firearm was great. Was very useful and helped defend my family when someone was murdered on my front doorstep by some thugs walking by.

My gun arrived at my FFL in a timely manner with no damage from shipping or defects. I am absolutely in love with this firearm, Springfield hit a homerun with the Saint. Very reasonably priced gun for the quality and features you get. I'm pleased with the whole experience and I will be purchasing from Bud's Gun Shop again.

Again Bud's is easy to work with. Received my gun in less than a week. Now the gun itself is borderline perfect. Dialed it in on an 8" lead plate at 220yds with the open sites (I haven't figured out what optics are going on it yet). Less recoil than I was expecting. Looks incredible. Springfield did a great job on this one.

Got the gun and it goes pew pew and bang bang. Good bang for buck. 10/10

Quite pleased with my purchase of this Saint variant. Excellent Magpul furniture and finish. One day at the range so far - everything works as designed. Very high winds that day so no idea of group size potential. However, was getting 2-3 1/2" groups at 100 yards with PMC bronze ammo. Acceptable for my purposes. Knocked one star for heavy trigger pull with spongy, gritty creep up front. That was a bit of disappointment relative to SA marketing. Other Saint reviews inferred triggers were variable as to specs, so the negative experience was not altogether unexpected.
I am more of a paper puncher and crisp triggers are important to me. Others may have found the trigger perfectly acceptable. Will probably order a replacement.
Regardless, this is an excellent firearm.

I’ve made a few purchases off of buds and this one was awesome! Very happy I bought this and I’d buy it again. I put a vortex strike eagle on it and went to the range and put 300 rounds through it with no issues. Great rifle! I even paid more for it than listed and the nortonshoppingguarantee got me the difference back. Great experience buying this rifle. The trigger was lighter than I thought. Zeroed it in with about 20 rounds.
