Union Army soldiers relied on many different types of sidearms for short range and close 
quarters combat. The revolver was unique in that it had the ability to fire several rounds 
per minute before having to reload. Revolvers were typically issued to officers and mounted 
soldiers, however some were purchased privately or found on the battlefield by infantrymen.

Distinguished by its octagon barrel and lever style loader, the 1851 helped to begin both 
the expansion of the West and the Civil War. The 1851 Navy is commonly considered to be 
one of gunfighter “Wild Bill” Hickok’s favorite handguns. 

This engraved revolver features intricate engraving which gives rhis revolver an authentic 
look and feel. It features an 7.375" blued octagonal barrel, brass frame, brass guard, and 
walnut grip. It is available in .44 caliber, weighs 2.6 lbs., and is 13.5" in length.

Nice looking gun fit and finish is good. My only complaint would be that the machined edges are extremely sharp. If not aware you could get cut. Action is very smooth.

    Joseph, you simply add to your cart and proceed to checkout. Bud's will ship to NY state but it must ship to a FFL.
    (New York law requires all muzzle-loading, black powder, flintlock, matchlock, percussion cap,
    and antique firearms (produced in 1898 or before) to be shipped to an FFL dealer in New York
    to be transferred to the purchaser after the completion of a background check, even though they
    are not considered to be “firearms” for purposes of the Gun Control Act.)
