[5 of 5 Stars!]I bought this Coach Gun without reviewing the stats on it. I am very pleased on what it has to offer. It has a 19th century color case hardening and fully functional external hammers and Turkish walnut pistol grip stock. with "real" hammers is similar to a revolver in one sense: even though it's loaded, with the hammer(s) down, there's no springs under stress; nothing is "aging". The same can't be said for a pump or a semi-auto.
If it's a double-trigger coach gun, there's also ammo selection. If I choose, I can load 00 in one tube and a slug in the other. Or 00 in one and #6s in the other. That gives me flexibility to make a spur of the moment ammo decision. All I gotta do is remember which trigger activates which barrel. You can't do that with a pump.
And a short-barreled double is more compact and "handier" than a pump. Swings quicker.
And if you think two shots ain't enough, what makes you think six or eight are? If that's your deal-breaking criterion, maybe you should be answering the knock at the door with an M4Gery with a Beta-C mag. Or at least a Saiga 12 with a 10-rd magazine.
Or you can double your available ammo by doing what the dangerous game hunters carrying double rifles do: put two spare rounds between the fingers of the support hand.
This was a good SxS to buy and more people are getting on the band wagon. If I was you I would at least handle and do some research on this great SxS.
