WOW! A beautiful, dependable firearm from S&W. Very lightweight carry revolver, if you are using.357 better hold tight because of the super lightweight it’s all up to you on the recoil. One of my favorite firearms. Only thing was the price was high due to availability, Bud’s seems to be the only place that has them from time to time. I passed it by a few times but finally had to pull the trigger (no pun intended, LOL).

Perfect Transaction. As usual Bud's was very fast in shipping and product was as described. I love this gun!!! Light weight yet feels solid in your hand. These are hard to find so if you run across one you better get it.

I don't like how the overtravel stop on the back of the trigger mars the black finish on the frame; and I wish Smith and Wesson would have put a better front sight option on this expensive, defensive use revolver. A tritium sight, a gold bead and a fiber optic should at least be factory options for this gun. Smith and Wesson should have also produced a line of holsters for this gun. There are precious few out there that are specifically made for this model. The most prevalent concealment holster for this gun is made of kydex, and it mars the finish on the gun. That deters me from carrying the gun, since where I live, it's rarely cool enough for a cover garment. Bud's is 5 stars; but I can only give this revolver 4 stars.

Outstanding weapon. Exactly as described. Handles even better than I anticipated.

I've wanted this gun for yrs. I finally was able to get it and I have to say I'm not really impressed with it. The grip is really thin and since it so light, its alot of force coming back at you absorbed only by that thin back strap. Shooting 357 is terrible with the stock grips. I've put new badger grips on but have yet to shoot it since. It's a beautiful gun but honestly that's about the best part of it. I definitely wouldn't say its performance is worth the money. In my opinion its avg- slightly above avg.

Purchased "New" but when I received at the dealer the gun had very clear drag marks all the way around the cylinder, scratches on the cylinder, and a chip off the finish on the backside of the frame behind the trigger. Extremely disappointed.

This S&W 327 2" barrel is an outstanding revolver and the lightest 8-shot .357 made, which is cool in itself. Yes, with the 2" barrel there's a lot of muzzle blast and lost velocity unless you use an appropriate short barrel formula load, but it's a really accurate and fun shooter as well as a superb choice for anyone wanting to carry an N-frame revolver for defense. Avoid .357 loads with bullets under 120 grains (per the manual) or you risk cylinder erosion. Of course, expect more recoil than substantially heavier .357 magnums you may have shot before. For standard .357 loads, recoil is sharp but not painful in my opinion. Full house magnums are going to make an impression, of course. All .357 loads that aren't specifically "short barrel" formulas will yield a massive muzzle flash. My advice for carry/defense is Speer Gold Dot 135 gr .357 short barrel, which have excellent ballistic performance out of this barrel, exhibit little to no muzzle flash, and are considerably less violent (and easier on the gun) than full house magnums. It's no problem shooting .357s for occasional practice (24 rounds at a time is fine; I've shot as many as 80 without too much strain or discomfort) but it's not something you'll want to shoot for an extended timeframe. For lighter and longer shooting sessions (and less wear and tear on the frame), step down to .38 special loads. With .38s, it becomes a very comfortable shooter with surprisingly good accuracy out to 30 feet. People who are recoil sensitive may still find it too snappy or intimidating to shoot due to its impressively light weight (22 oz.), but the N frame soaks up or tames much of the recoil (compared with smaller framed lightweights) and experienced shooters should find it very comfortable and controllable. All in all, it's an excellent little package. It's an excellent carry piece if you're okay with outside the waistband carry. Appendix carry is totally doable also, but Appendix/IWB holsters in this particular N frame, short barrel combination are essentially nonexistent, so expect to have something custom made if that's your aim. Even OWB holsters are hard to come by for this revolver, but at least a couple options exist for that.

Great gun, very happy with this purchase. I own a Smith 627 also I was using for CCW but it is pretty heavy at times. I purchased this 327 for CCW use and I am very happy with it. At times I almost forget it is there. It’s the perfect combo of weight, fire power and reliability for me. The pistol runs very smooth and has a great trigger pull. Has a bit of recoil but is to be expected from this super light package. I was very pleasantly surprised how soft the .38’s shot out of it though. The only thing I didn’t like it that it shipped very dry from the factory so the first thing I did was throw some lube on it and lubed the internals. I have had several Smith and Wesson PC revolvers that ship this way so I figure they think people will want to run their own preferred lube on them. Over all very happy with this gun.

Bud’s was my first experience purchasing a handgun on line. The process is extremely well explained on their web site and their execution was flawless, even to the point that they are careful what day of the week they ship so the merchandise is not left unattended over a weekend. After the purchase, the price dropped and the Norton people picked up the difference which was an unexpected plus. The grips pictured on the website are not what comes on the gun, but I use an aftermarket boot grip by a German company called Nil so this was not an issue to me. This is my concealed carry primary gun. I have a second identical one that I shoot quite extensively. If you are a revolver person, this can be the ideal carry gun. The people who berate it have likely not actually tried it. It may indeed be an N frame but fully loaded, it weighs less than 25 ounces. The ergonomics of the ultrashort barrel make concealed carry quite easy in an OWB holster. Even my IWB holster is extremely comfortable. This is not a 40+ ounce N frame from the old days. Ammo selection is important with this gun but it is nothing like shooting my backup 340PD. 357 Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel loads are not problematic in terms of felt recoil. Really hot loads are uncomfortable and I leave these alone. Winchester Ranger 38 +P is extremely comfortable to shoot. This is also my 340PD carry load. If you intend to carry backup ammo in a moonclip, this requires a lot of experimentation. The Gold Dots are not bad but there are faster reloading bullets out there. The only real speed loader for this is not worth while in my opinion. Speed strip for me. Accuracy is much better than I am. Can consistently hit a 3/4 inch dot at 3 yards double action and I am a neophyte pistol shot. Inside 4 inch circle at 8 yards DA at speed is quite doable. Trigger is 13 lbs DA and 4.5 lbs SA out of box. Easily tuned to 8-9 and 3 lbs. Below 8 lbs, ignition is inconsistent. At 8 lbs, my carry ammo and practice ammo is 100%. I certainly enjoyed my experience with Bud’s and the savings was substantial. They will get more of my business.

I really don't like this gun. I am now sending t back to S&W for the second time. If I load up eight rounds of semi jacketed hollow points and shoot only seven rounds, open up that cylinder and check the unfired round, the nose of the bullet will consistently be crushed and deformed. And this gun will not shoot more than 2 rounds of Tulammo before it jams, and the spent shells cannot be ejected without a punch and a hammer. This weapon is a delicate at best, and unreliable for sure. Bud's is cool but this gun is not.
