[5 of 5 Stars!]So I've had my 850 CIA for about 7 months now and while I don't get nearly enough practice with it, it is indeed a fantastic handgun. It's very compact and easily concealable. I actually bought this handgun along with the 851 Protector model so i could decide which to keep and which to sell (thinking I'd only keep one).
Somewhere along the way, I decided I like them both so much that I'm not selling either one. The one really nice thing about this revolver is that even though its compact and has a very short barrel, the kick using the 110 & 135 Grain ammo isn't all that bad because the gun is also all metal. The full power 158Grain +P ammo is a palm stinger though. I actually tried shooting the hottest load I could find through this gun and while the gun performed flawlessly, my palm and wrist did not. I was only able to do 1 cylinder of full power ammo.
All in all, I'd give this gun a 9 out of 10. Great fit and finish and it does exactly what I bought it for.
Bud's service earns and A as well since they were able to get both my guns to me in jut 3 days. That made my weekend as they arrived just before I was planning on taking a CCW Class.
Thanks Taurus for a great product, and Thanks Buds for great service.

[5 of 5 Stars!]I received this gun a week and a half ago from Buds.Which they shipped it fast and the're always great to deal with. Now about the gun. When i fired it the cylinder would lock after one shot and not rotate anymore. This was from when fired the primer of the round would expand in and around the firing pin.Which there was a piece missing from around the pin that would prevent that.Somehow it was overlooked at the factory.Anyway i called Taurus and they sent me a totally free overnight shipping label and i had it mailed out the next day.
I got it back a week later fixed and working perfect. Its a good looking gun ,fun to shoot and a great carry weapon. I like it alot. It was a hassle at first but still worthy of 5 stars..Show More Reviews...
