I received my Colt Expanse CE2000 MPS-B last week. This is my first AR and I was not ready, or able, to break the bank and drop $1000 on one with more bells and whistles. This is a solid entry level AR plarform with the addition of some nice Magpul hardware all for around $700. Fit and finish look good and everything cycles perfectly. It does not have a chrome lined barrel so that is the only downside, however, for my purposes that is not an issue. Like I said, it is a fantastic entry level AR. Buds turnaround time was fast and they kept me in the loop on every part of the purchase and shipping process. Would definitely buy this gun from Buds again, no regrets!

I am a firm believer in Colt and this rifle solidifies that! Theres so many things right with this firearm! The first version they came out with in the early 2016's gold some flak, but then they came out with this ce20000MPS-B with the things that first one was lacking! This one has the Chrome lined barrel, forward assist, and dust cover! Then you get into the greatness that is Colt that you just dont get too often from the other guys...such as the heavy duty mil-spec bolt and bolt carrier that goes on US Army and Marine M16 issue rifles. If this was fully auto or 3 round bust capable it would be ready to go! Double pined gas key that are milled beautifully to sit fush in the bolt carrier. The Lower receiver is serialed Alpha/numeric "LE" meaning Law Enforcement which tells the avid firearms enthusiast that its a no nonsense military-spec M4. The buffer tube is mil-spec...everything is mil-spec! Even the 1:7 twist is great as you can throw in heavier grain cartridges such as M855 AP and 80 grain bullets. You're going to want to use a heavier grain bullet at at least 62 grains.you're going to love this firearm! You're not getting an AR-15, you're getting an M4 Carbine...and you're getting a Colt! Colt's hold their value all day everyday 365 1/2 days a year! Colt aside, you're also getting all this Magpul furniture with it! Buying thos pieces separately would rack it up too! As we all know, Magpul is the best and they also do not disappoint with the M-Lok system features they have throughout the entire rifle. You even get a Gen 2 Magpul PMag 30 round magazine and their MBus flip up iron sight with the A2 front sight fixed. I could list so much more, but i dont think i need to. The only thing that could be considered "bad" or for a better word "lacking" is barrel notch for the M203 grenade launcher or M9 bayonet for the muzzle ring. It comes with a bayonet lug and my M9 bayonet from my tour in Iraq fits right on it with no problem, just the notch is missing. Yes, i was lucky enough to keep my bayo! You can always swap out the barrel though. Actually by not having that notch its a thicker barrel the entire way through. I also have to mention to have a 3 and 1/2 inch long by 1/8 hex head allen key (standard {SAE}), which a hex head is what an allen key is to move that vertical foregrip down closer to you. It comes assembled, but its all the way out at the end. For me its all about keeping a close shooting platform n having it way out at the end doesnt work for me. I want it close so i can pull that firearm into my shoulder...Shooter preference. Magpul does not put an allen key in there for you. Switch it out down the road to Phillips head bolt anyways. Easier to work with in the field and in low light. Plus who doesnt have a Phillips head screwdriver laying around? Last, but not least Colt puts in the pack a cable lock with a set of keys to keep your M4 safe from children and unauthorized individuals! Use the damn thing! If you have a firearms safe...even better! Ive always shopped around and this was the best purchase i have made to start a great M4 platform! Buds was and always is the best deal out there!
