This is a great gun. The styling is on point. The large beaver tail,the G10 grips and the proportions of the gun are great. The trigger is smooth too. To me the sights are set jut right. You won’t be disappointed if you buy this gun.

Purchased this on a 180 day layaway but it only stayed in for a week. This is my first 1911 style gun and i wanted to buy one but i didnt like the 45acp so when i saw this in 10mm under the 180 day layaway i jumped on it, i must say it is a great gun and looks good, i like shooting it. No problems with it at all after 200 rounds which are not cheap. Fits in my hand perfectly, i will be keeping this one. I am now a 10mm guy. Buds by the way is awesome, shipped fast. I purchased plenty of guns from here with no problems, friendly customer service and great prices. Cant go wrong choosing buds.

I'd REALLY hoped for a good report with this, as RIA 1911's appealed to me for some reason. My RIA 1911 ownership experience now includes this model, the 4.25 inch non-railed version, and 2 Full Sized 5-inch models (1 railed, 1 non-railed). In my experience, the 4.25 models aren't trustworthy (though one FS 5-inch also fell in this category). After thoroughly cleaning and lubing, I tried installing EGW's raised mag catches, switched from factory mags to Mecgar mags, WC mags and finally Tripp Research mags. Nothing functioned better than 50-60%, with stovepipes, FTE, and FTF regularly interrupting the break-in process. Interestingly, I became frustrated enough to lay down my RIA and load the same ammo (mix of Remington 180g, Armscor 180g, and Underwood 180g xtp) through my G29 SF with no problems...of course! Needless to say I no longer own any of the RIA 1911's, and IF I ever venture outside of my boringly-reliable 10mm Glocks it'll probably be a Colt or Sig on the short list.

The short and sweet: I'm a 10mm fanatic and this weapon delivers. Just qualified for my CHL (Conceled Handgun License) with it, while eveyone else qualed with little 380s or 9 mils. What does that tell you? Its a sweet shooter with a very natural point of aim. 1911 style is the way to go over all the plastic guns coming out now days. Trigger is as light and crisp as stated but I plan on lightning it a bit more. Love the agressive grips and the rail! Will more than likely put a stiffer spring in it for shooting hotter/better ammo. I dont like typing so if you could talk to me in person I'd gloat like a school girl over a new iphone or something. I am having trouble finding a OWB holster with level 2 retention (think Blackhawk's Serpa stuff) or any quality holsters for that matter. I'll just have to keep looking. Will replace the decent but lacking magazine as well, probably with Wilson Combat mags. Do yourself a favor if you're a 10mm fan like me.... Don't think about it too much and just buy it. I've had mine for around 2 weeks and its already gone up in price $20 since then on this site. You shouldnt be disappointed with what you get. A durable, heavy, attractive and affordable pistol that's an absolute pleasure to shoot and own. Just DO IT!!! -Leonard from TEXAS-

It's been a while since I did a review on one of the guns that I purchased from Buds. First off ladies and guys. Buds is top notch by any standards. Over the years (many years) I've purchased quite a few guns from buds. Only had one snafu and it was my fault. But the customer service folks at Buds worked it out for me. Now for this particular gun. The 10mm is an awesome round whether your are using it on two legged or four legged obstacles. I took it to the range. I fired Double Tap, Arms-Cor, Corbon and Hornady through it. I was surprised at how well the weapon functioned. old cliche...right out of the box. All I did was wipe some of the oil off of it. The accuracy is right on par with guns costing twice as much. I did have a couple of failures to fed with the magazine that came with the weapon (not reliable at all). But I ordered two Wilson Combat 10mm (9 rounders) from Buds before I got the gun. The Wilson Combat mags are the cat's meow. With the Wilson mags I didn't have one hiccup. I love this gun. I have 3 10mms. Two Glocks and the RIA 10mm. I really love the 1911 10mm platform. Best I can tell you is to save those Benjamin's and grab one if you can. I promise you, you will not regret it. Heads up, the gun is a bit on the heavy side. But the weight is outstanding in reducing recoil. Yes you can conceal carry this weapon. Just have to dress around the gun. I carried it for a couple of days after my range time. You know it's there. But as Clint Smith puts it...a weapon should be comforting not comfortable.
