Upon inspection at my local ffl, the finish was sub par. It seems as if it was hand sanded before coating and almost looks scratched up all over the main chassis. But I am planning to have it coated anyway so not a huge deal to me, just that more prep work is needed. Sent 200 rounds of different ammo down the pipe to find it likes all that I've tried except thunderbolt. Printed 1/4" group with eley black box, 1/2" group with cci mini mags, and 3/4" with armscor and cci standard @ 50 yards. My 3"gong pinged all day with no problems. The hand guard is very small but good for my son to shoot off hand. Finding a bipod mount was impossible in Hawaii and I believe it is a proprietary mount but I may be wrong. Does not come with a recoil pad but isn't terrible since it's a 22lr. Didn't want to wait for shipping for the mount and butt pad so I bought a magpul pic rail and modified it to fit, drilled and tapped fore end to accept it. Overall for $500 I think the finish should have been better but its performance makes up for it and I'm happy there wasn't just a bunch of lipstick on a pig.

Great little rifle. I also own the Ruger precision rimfire and I like the appearance and trigger in the KSA better. The non-Ruger magazine style is somewhat cumbersome if you already own several Ruger mags, but the KSA mags works well and is real smooth and easy to load. Accuracy seems to be on par with the Ruger if not better. The bolt action is not quite as smooth as the Ruger PR out of the box, but that should settle down over time. All in all a good buy.
