[5 of 5 Stars!]You can tell the moment you unbox this gun that's its a masterful piece of machinery. The fit and finish is excellent, and it just feels right in your hand. It handles hot 357 loads with ease, everything from off the shelf Federal Hydrashocks and Hornady Critical Defense to my own home brew reloads of 158 grain SWC Missouri bullet co over 16 grains of H110. I haven't had a FTF or FTE yet in about 200 rounds. Keep it well oiled like the manual states and you will be fine. You definitely want to test your rounds in it though, I can easily lighter 357 loads not having enough punch to rack the slide. The sites are pretty much dead on point of aim at 25 yards and have an excellent brightness in total darkness. My only complaint is the grips (while nice) really need some checkering for better purchase. I ordered a set of aftermarket grips and will hang on to the originals just in case. For me, this gun fulfilled the perfect situation..I'm a 357 fanatic, and I love the 1911 package..this was a marriage made in heaven. Don't feel too squeamish about the price, this piece of hardware is worth every penny, and even rivals some of the more traditional 1911 packages in terms of the quality of production. I think I need surgery just to get the grin off my face after a day at the range with this gun.

[5 of 5 Stars!]Sirs:
This particular purchase from BGS was a Coonan Classic .357 Magnum. It came equipped w/Fixed sights and 2 magazines.
As I fully expected it to be, it is a superb weapon in both looks and function. I must admit it is the 1st Coonan weapon I have personally owned but, I've had experience from acquaintances, friends and word of mouth from other shooters.
I have found mine to live up to the excellent reputation and I could not be happier.
Bud's sales process was very pleasant timely and efficient.
Thank you very much Coonan Co and Bud's. I look forward to my future shoots and the years to come at the range and in the woods...
