[5 of 5 Stars!]I'm giving this pistol 5 stars for not being on the same level as a Sig or HK, but 5 stars for meeting my expectations for a $400 pistol. First off, I am almost positive it holds 17 rounds. The mags don't state how many it holds, but there is a label on the box that says 17 rounds. It comes with 2 magazines. I wish it came with a decocker, but I am not too upset over that. The picture on the website doesn't do justice for how well the finish is. The pistol feels VERY well balanced in my hands. The sights are an off-white yellow-ish color, but it really isn't that big of a deal. It came from the factory over-oiled, but I rather it be over-oiled than under-oiled. The double action trigger is consistent and, like a typical double action trigger, it has at least an 8 lbs pull. The single action is pretty nice, but I know it will get better once I start putting rounds through it. Stripping it is easy, but just make sure you keep the hammer at half cocked after you remove the "lever pin" from the frame. That is the only way the slide will come off the frame. The safety is a little hard to disengage, but I imagine it will loosen up over time. I couldn't tell prior to ordering it if it would be a range only pistol or a carry firearm too (depending on the size). I plan on using it for concealed carry. Aside from its weight, if you can carry a Glock 19, then you can carry Canik Stingray. I plan on putting AT LEAST 200 rounds through it before I start carrying it. I want to replace the factory plastic grips with either rubber or wood grips from Hogue (the cz 75 grips will fit it just fine). If you want an affordable, excellent quality, SA/DA 9mm pistol, then order away! This is my second Turkish pistol and both are high quality. I was a little hesitant at first, but the Canik Stingray is a beautiful, nicely made 9mm, and I am VERY happy I took the plunge and ordered it.

[4 of 5 Stars!]I picked this Stingray up around December time, I wanted to get some range time before I wrote a review. Hands down, this is the most accurate 9mm handgun I have ever shot. I am a US Navy Veteran and consistently scored Expert on the M9 qualification, but this weapon far surpasses the Beretta. I am able to shot fist size groups at 25 yards all day with this weapon. Weight is a little heavy for a CCW, but the balance is great for a GTW weapon. The fit and finish are top notch for the price. This weapon is a clone of the CZ75 as many have seen, but there bears a striking resemblance to the P-01. The grip and frame are full size like the CZ75 combat, but the barrel and slide are more to the P-01. I have looked at a P-01 to compare and Canik makes a better weapon. No tool marks on the interior, nor any dings or scratches. What a weapon!!
On to the negative, which is minor to some but major to me. Upon receiving the weapon, I cleaned it as I do with all new purchases. I noticed that the sight paint was "orangish" and I went to clean what I thought was packing grease. To my surprise, "orangish" is the color of the sights and I effectively removed all of the paint! On a brand new weapon I find this unsatisfactory. I repainted the sight with white primer and glow paint, but still. The grips are plastic, plastic and plastic. They aren't very grippy and if your hands are wet or sweaty, you will not have good dexterity. Since the frame is full size CZ75 style, a new set of rubber grips will solve this problem. Its because of these two things that I have to give the weapon a 4 out of 5. Sorry guys!
Other than that, a fine addition to any collection! You will be very impressed with any of Canik's line up if the Stingray is an indication of their quality.Show More Reviews...
